Recalling 20 Years of History: Enrique Pérez Flores and Rainer E. Gut

In March 2011, and coinciding with La Zagaleta Company’s 20th Anniversary celebration, Rainer E. Gut and Enrique Pérez Flores gathered at La Zagaleta to recall the beginning stages of development of the award-winning private estate.

In the 20th anniversary edition of La Zagaleta Lifestyle Magazine, one of the first residents of La Zagaleta, the former Credit Suisse Group CEO and former Nestlé SA Chairman, Rainer E. Gut, lends a foreword to the “La Zagaleta - 20 Years Later - History of a Brand,” a five-chapter compilation of photos and memories that document the construction and development of the La Zagaleta estate from its beginnings in 1991 until today, and situates the project within the economic and social framework of the time period.

To illustrate the foreword Mr. Gut met with La Zagaleta Company Chairman Enrique Pérez Flores for a tour of the estate, where they were able to recall the various construction phases, such as the addition of the second 18-hole golf course, “Los Barrancos.”

Mr. Gut’s foreword, as well as the official “History of the Brand” produced by the company, are available in the April edition of La Zagaleta Lifestyle Magazine.
