How blockchain has affected business and startups and is changing the world as we know it.

Zagaleta, a company specialised in luxury villas and luxury property held the sixth edition of its renowned business forum. This year, it invited a highly-respected panel of experts in the area of “Smart investments in startups” from all corners of the globe. Foro Zagaleta 2018 was attended by renowned Business Angels, entrepreneurs and experts in cryptocurrency.

The segment dedicated to new payment systems was led by the innovation and digital transformation expert Carlos Domingo, founder of SpiceVC and one of the founders of Dubai Angel Investors, who spoke about ICOs (initial coin offerings) and said that “it provides the best return of any existing asset in the industry”. Domingo took part in the debate moderated by Juan José Güemes, President of the International Center for Entrepreneurial Management at IE, together with Alvaro Villacorta, founder of Likido and startups mentor at Telefonica Open Future, and Peter Ivankay, who manages innovation projects within the Wealth Management division of UBS. During the talk, they discussed areas such as the vision of new social and economic order imposed by blockchain, best practices in financial markets and risk management, how blockchain has affected business and Startups and also analysed how paradigms like blockchain are changing the world as we know it.
