11,000 CEOs, 1,200 speakers, 2,000 journalists, 70,000 attendees from over 160 countries come together at what Forbes calls “the best technology conference on the planet” every year for one question. The founders and CEOs of technology companies, fast-growing startups, policymakers and heads of state ask: what’s next? The event which started in 2009 welcomes the 10th edition in November 2019 in Lisbon, Portugal.
Some of this year’s speakers are Huawei Rotating Chairmen Guo Ping, Microsoft President Brad Smith, Wikipedia CEO Katherine Maher, Tinder CEO Eli Seidman, Google Chief Sustainability Officer Kate Brandt, Executive Chairman of the Institute for Global Change; Former Prime Minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Tony Blair. The packed schedule outlines an ambitious agenda that covers the largest topics today, from the evolution of the Internet to artificial intelligence, from innovation during a crisis to the pursuit of happiness, and much more. There will also be a spotlight on startups and women in tech during the 3-day event. Web Summit, a Dublin-based company, organises and holds events which include Web Summit in Lisbon, Collision in Toronto and RISE in Hong Kong.
