Jeffrey Bilhuber teams with de Gournay to launch a porcelain collection with a touch of gold

The Alchemy collection is a 35-piece porcelain dinner service created by de Gournay and Jeffrey Bilhuber. This exquisite one-of-a-kind collection is made entirely by hand in a limited edition and can be customized.

De Gournay is pleased to announce the launch of Alchemy, a new porcelain dinnerware service designed in collaboration with Jeffrey Bilhuber.

For this collection Bilhuber, one of America’s leading interior designers, worked closely with de Gournay’s studio in Jingdezhen, the birthplace of Imperial Chinese ceramics. Dutch still-life floral paintings come to life in the various pieces of this scalloped tableware collection.

The pieces are then splashed with a touch of molten 22-carat gold. The result is an alchemy of decorative artistry that evokes Imperial China with a twist of modern elegance. The 35-piece dinner service is made entirely by hand and no two pieces are the same.

Each piece is hand-painted, hand-gilded and hand-glazed by de Gournay’s artists. Services are numbered in a limited edition featuring dinner plates, side plates, serving platters, soup bowls and can be customized with additional pieces made on request. A six-piece set is priced at $45,000.
